Cinnamon Club - restaurant

The Cinnamon Club is aptly named – entering the Grade II-listed venue in the former Old Westminster Library feels like stepping into a sophisticated members club. Since opening in 2001 to serve delightful modern Indian fare, it’s been one of our favourites for group dining.

What’s so good about it?

That the restaurant is so adept at catering for larger parties. Inside you’ll find two private dining rooms, a bar for standing receptions and the option of exclusive hire in the main space for 100 seated guests. We particularly like the Gallery: on the mezzanine above the dining room this is where privacy is combined with a buzzy atmosphere from the regular restaurant guests below. Plus there are no less than seven event menus to choose from, with a strong roll-call of canapés and bowl food too.

Why do bookers love it?
A major refurbishment in 2015 gave a lift to the interiors, but it’s the food and drink that’s the real draw. Knowing its reputation for great game and fish dishes, we suggest you opt for a menu that includes the likes of tandoori cod with a green spice crust and roast loin of Oisin red deer in an onion reduction. Matching wines are available too, and spiced cocktails like cinnamon bellinis are a special touch.
