This April,
Imago Venues will begin the first phase of its multi-million pound refurbishment of the four-star hotel and conference centre Burleigh Court.
If you’re not already familiar with the venue, Imago comprises all of Loughborough University’s conference and events spaces under one brand, and Burleigh Court is the portfolio’s flagship hotel with 186 bedrooms.
How have they decided to upgrade the rooms? The venue gathered feedback and data from clients in pilot bedrooms to find out exactly what they wanted from their experience. The results determined that all the rooms will be modernised with new decor, furniture and improved shower facilities. The refurb will also take place in several phases, meaning the hotel can still accommodate significant numbers of guests throughout the process.
“We are continually investing in our product and offering to ensure it remains not just fit for purpose, but industry leading,” comments Hayley Hardy, senior business development manager at Imago Venues.
We also heard that more improvements are coming across the group, including £150,000 worth of new AV and refurbished spaces at Holywell Park, as well a big upgrade to the conference and meeting facilities at Burleigh Court. The Elite Athlete centre is also due to open later this year in November – more information as we have it.
