It has been a turbulent time over the last few years for Quins. In 2001 they became the first club to win what is now called the European Challenge Cup and, three years later, they won it again by
beating Montferrand 27-26 in a desperately close final. But in 2005 they were relegated from the Guinness Premiership and, although they bounced straight back, their fans will just be praying for a
little consistency over the next few years. Big commercial transformations and improvements to the already impressive Stoop give plenty of reasons to be optimistic.
