Acknowledged by many as the most beautiful racecourse in the world, the origins of racing at Goodwood can be traced back over two centuries to when the 3rd Duke of Richmond first bought horseracing
to his West Sussex Estate in 1802. Held over three days, the first race meeting comprised sixteen races with total prize money of just £313! This year, the Season runs from 19 May to 11 October,
with a total of 21 days racing including the five-day Glorious Goodwood week, 144 races and prize money now topping £3 million. Set atop the lofty South Downs, Goodwood provides a spectacular
