For ten days in September, York’s Parliament Street and St Sampson’s Square will be filled with market stalls displaying some of Yorkshire’s finest. Guests can sample and purchase Yorkshire
cheeses, wild boar sausages, organic vegetables, and sticky toffee pudding with clotted cream. For meals, acclaimed restaurants like Hotel du Vin and the Thai Sukhothai will serve their gourmet food along with the Evening Fountain Cafe that will serve the likes
of Ghanaian curry and Yorkshire hog roast while entertaining diners with music. Alternatively, guests can feast at a festival Victorian-style dinner at Mansion House. Throughout the festival, guest
can also participate in various activities, such as attending cooking demos including those given by celebrity chefs, including Rachel Green, who hosts the television program ‘The Flying Cook.’
Otherwise, guests can attend cookery theatre designed for both kids and adults or attend one of the tutored wine tasting classes.
