Still can’t figure out the difference between a Bordeaux and a Claret? Don’t despair – now you have the chance to brush up on your wine knowledge once and for all. After last year’s success, Bank
has once again teamed up with Tim Atkin, Master of Wine, to hold a beginners’ wine tasting course. A new intermediate course will also be launched for students who have completed the Bank
Beginners’ course. Apart from being The Observer’s wine correspondent, Tim has written a number of books and presented wine programmes on television. He is a witty speaker and makes learning about
wine enormously funny. Dates for the beginners’ course are as follows: ’What’s my wine?’ on 24 February, ‘Can I have a red Chardonnay, please?’ on 9 March, ‘Tasting off piste: Whites,’ on 23 March,
‘What’s the difference between a Bordeaux and Claret?’ on 6 April, ‘Tasting off piste: Reds,’ on 20 April and last, but not least ‘One for the vicar’ on 27 April. Book early to avoid
disappointment. For more information on the Beginners’ Course and Intermediate Course, call Kristyn Mitchell on the above number or log onto Bank’s website.
