Enjoy a wonderful wine weekend away with Daily Mail wine guru Matthew Jukes on Friday 3 – Sunday 5 November in the beautiful city of Carcassonne, Languedoc-Rousillon, in south-west France.
During the weekend guests will spend two nights in the stunning Orient Express Hôtel de la Cité situated within the medieval fortified citadel. There will be the opportunity to taste several wines
from the surrounding terroirs, and the chance to explore the ancient city situated in the foothills of the Pyrenees. A wine tasting will be held on the Saturday morning, and in the evening there
will be a meal served in the hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant, La Barbacane, with wines matched by Matthew Jukes who will be on hand to discuss the pairings.
The package costs £785 based on two people sharing and includes two night’s accommodation, and dinner with wines on the Saturday evening. Flights are not included, but direct flights to/from
Carcassonne are available from all major UK cities.
