Criterion restaurant is launching a quarterly wine tasting event, focusing on a different style of wine each time, with the final tasting of the year dedicated to Champagne.
The first event will take place on 29 March and will be hosted by David Finlayson of South African winery Edgebaston. Criterion’s head chef, Matthew Foxon, will create a menu to suit the flavours
and provenance of the wines.
The evening will kick off with a canapé reception at 6.45pm. Dinner starts at 7.30pm, and the menu will include tea-smoked salmon, dukkah-spiced ostrich with beef bobotie, and white and dark
chocolate tart with kumquat compote.
Tickets cost £70, including reception canapés, four glasses of wine, a three-course dinner, coffee and petit fours. Places are limited to 50 people. To buy tickets, call 020 7839 0100 or email the organiser. Payment must be made in advance.
