Since arriving on the restaurant scene, east London's Verden has not only won over the critics, it's also been putting on a host of fantastic food and drink events celebrating importers and producers of the best produce the world has to offer.
The latest event is a masterclass in pairing top-class sherries with premium Spanish cured ham - bringing a Spanish flavour to the English summer. It will be hosted in collaboration with Brixton-based artisanal wine importers Indigo Wine, and Santos & Santos, Spanish food importers who operate from Broadway Market. The Verden team, plus experts from both companies, will talk guests through the produce, and how certain styles of sherry capture the rich, complex flavours of different types of jamón - as guests tuck into each example, of course.
This informal and informative class will take place this Sunday from 5pm-7pm. Tickets cost £25 and can be booked via Verden's events website.
