Valentine Film Night at Bluebird

Bluebird in King’s Road, Chelsea will be marking Valentine’s Day on 14 February 2008 with a variety of options for celebrations, allowing customers to enjoy drinks at the bar, dinner in the restaurant & attend a romantic film screening in the Gallery Room.

Film Screening
The Gallery Room will be screening two films in the evening; customers can book a table for two and relax in the comfortable leather chairs to watch the following:

6.30pm – Breakfast at Tiffany’s with Audrey Hepburn and George Peppard
8.30pm – Chocolat with Juliette Binoche and Johnny Depp

Ticket for one film only, no refreshments - £5 per person
Ticket for one film, glass of Champagne and canapés - £20 per person

Additionally, customers can time their restaurant reservation around their chosen film to dine pre- or post- film screening.

The following dishes will be added to the standard a la carte menu for Valentine’s Day, including crêpes Suzette, flambéed at the table, which are sure to bring a touch of theatre to the experience:


Tranche of foie gras ‘en papillotte’, Champagne rhubarb, winter truffles (£12.50)

Gratin of tobermory scallops ‘bonne femme’, Duchess potatoes, chestnut mushrooms, white wine (£13.50)

Assiette of seafood hors d’oeuvres (for two): Cornish crab, lobster, oysters, brown shrimp, mackerel (£19.50)

Beef Wellington, Cumbrian Galloway beef, sauce périgourdine (£40)

Roast Anjou squab pigeon, Potato fondants, January king cabbage, white raisins, Pedro Ximenez sherry (£35)

Roast tronçon of halibut, roast bone marrow, cèpes, sauce bordelaise (£38)


Coffee and doughnuts, cappuccino semifreddo, warm sugared doughnuts (£6.50)

Black Forest sundae, Valrhona chocolate, cherry ripple ice cream, griottines, kirsch (£6.50)

Crêpes Suzette, orange segments, Grand Marnier (£6.50)


Bluebird Bar will be introducing the following cocktails, including one to share:

• Passion Charms – rum, passion fruit, mint and sugar, served in a long glass, £8.50
• Aphrodisiac – vodka muddled with red grapes and homemade pomegranate syrup, topped with rose Champagne, presented in a flute, £10.50
• Infatuation – a sharing cocktail – Amaretto, cognac, fresh strawberry and mint and aged balsamic vinegar, served in a large brandy balloon with crushed ice, £12
• Chocolate and Roses – vanilla vodka, chocolate liqueur, orange flower water, served in a martini glass, £8
