Art lover Mark Hix is a big fan of artist Miranda Donovan: she designs his annual Christmas card, has a piece of her work hanging in HIX Soho, and Donovan is now the subject of Hix’s forthcoming supper club, to be held at his CNB Gallery, underneath Tramshed in Shoreditch.
The supper club, which will take place on 3 November, will be a showcase for Donovan’s ‘Metaphors for Mankind’. The exhibition brings together works from three of her previous shows, including pieces that use brickwork and metal sheeting to convey the artist’s messages about the human condition. Hix’s five-course street food menu – with matching wines – is designed to complement this setting; dishes include Korean-style kimchee pork belly in steamed buns and salted-caramel fondue.
Tickets to this event, which includes a five-course meal with wines to match, a welcome cocktail, a tour of the artworks and a gift bag, cost £50. To book, visit Tramshed’s event page or call 020 3641 8345.
