Family-run (since 1969) Frederick's is to host a special dinner with top Champagne house Louis Roederer on
Wednesday 9 October.
This Islington favourite, noted for its modern European cuisine with an Asian flourish, will serve a five-course menu with wines paired with each course. Roederer vintage Champagne will feature, as
will top Bordeaux producer Château de Pez and noted tawny port estate Ramos Pinto.
Canapés in the form of chicken liver and foie gras on brioche with grape chutney and salmon and watercress tart will start the festivities, followed by tuna and soy noodle salad ceviche before
moving onto roast rack of lamb with grilled courgettes, feta, mint and Bordeaux jus. End the evening with custard tart served with apricot compote and coriander, plus chocolate and hazelnut
truffles for petit fours.
The evening will be hosted by Roederer’s Mark Bingley Master of Wine and Frederick’s Matt Segal, who will both be on hand to talk through the pairings. Reception starts from 7.30pm in The Club
Room, Frederick’s new contemporary private dining space which overlooks the lush garden.
Tickets cost £85pp which includes water, coffee and service.
