People’s favourite Tom Kerridge has launched a private dining space near his famous Buckinghamshire gastropub (and our UK restaurant of the year 2015), The Hand & Flowers. Only a few minutes away from the main restaurant in Marlow (and opposite Tom’s other pub, The Coach), the nine-seat space is called The Shed and will play host to a series of one-off dining events this February and March.
February’s schedule includes a week dedicated to Tom’s new book, The Dopamine Diet. Every lunchtime from 27 February until 3 March, The Shed will be serving recipes from the book, made by the team at The Hand & Flowers. Each recipe is said to help release happy hormones, although food normally has that effect on us anyway. Costing £125 per person, the lunch consists of a three-course meal and drinks.
Later in the month, the site will host a West Country Week from 27-31 March. This will see Tom design a series of West Country-inspired tasting menus alongside his chef pals, including Nathan Outlaw, Peter Sanchez and Paul Ainsworth. Tickets cost £350 per person, for up to nine people per event.
