The Tiger Beer Singapore Chilli Crab Festival is returning to London’s Brick Lane on 1 and 2 September. It will feature food, dancing, live cooking demonstrations, an art gallery, music, market
stalls and chilled Tiger Beer.
For epicureans, Singapore’s unofficial national dish – chilli crab, served in a tomato and chilli-based sauce – will be on offer as well as chicken satay, char kway teow (a fried rice noodle dish)
and Hainanese chicken rice. Sweets will include ice kachang (an ice dessert popular at market stalls) and bur bur cha cha (a tapioca-based pudding).
This year’s festival will be held across three main venues in East London’s Brick Lane: the Boiler House, Vibe Bar and 93 Feet East, where festival-goers can immerse themselves in the unique
tastes, sights and sounds of Singapore.
