From 14-20 November, Amaranto will be hosting a 'Taste of Tuscany' week in collaboration with Tuscan wine company Rocca delle Macie.
Amaranto’s chef Davide Degiovanni has created a special six-course menu for the event. Dishes on the menu are as follows:
-traditional Tuscan vegetable soup
-spicy hand-rolled pasta with garlic, walnut and extra-virgin Tuscan olive oil
-wild-boar-filled tortellone with pumpkin, chestnuts and Guanciale ‘Vellutata’
-confit beef cheek in Novello wine, served on ‘San Gemignano’ saffron risotto
-Tuscan cheese board with homemade walnut and raisin bread
-ricotta ‘pasticciotto’ on sharon fruit and vanilla-glazed grapes
The Tuscan menu costs £95, or £155 with wine pairings, including a 2006 Chianti Classico Riserva and a 2009 Vernaccia di San Gimignano, both from Rocca delle Macie.
