Taste of London 2006

Boasting some of the best food, drink and entertainment in the capital, the Taste of London food festival should be top priority on any foodie’s agenda. The festival brings together some of the capital’s finest restaurants and most famous chefs to prepare and serve a selection of signature dishes over a four-day celebration. Around 40 restaurants will participate, serving a selection of sample size signature dishes so visitors can enjoy excellent cooking at a fraction of the usual price, and without waiting for a table reservation! The line-up this year includes ten ‘new faces’, creating a truly unique opportunity to try the best food in London and renowned top chefs, all under one ‘roof’. Exciting new interactive features for visitors will add a new dimension to the event including a Chef’s Theatre, Cookery School, Wine and Spirit Academy, and the Speciality Beer Academy. Accommodating the high calibre of visitors, there will also be a VIP experience available with added food and drink luxuries included in the price of the ticket. Having tested the event in 2005 with Boxwood Café, Gordon Ramsay was so impressed, he has added two more restaurants to the line up this year, including Marcus Wareing at The Savoy Grill and Angela Hartnett at The Connaught. Other participating restaurants will include The Greenhouse and Tom Aikens.
