You’ll be able to work your way round a whole host of London’s best restaurants at Taste of London’s Festive Edition, sampling signature dishes from some of the capital’s best-known restaurants. There’ll also be live demonstrations from a selection of the UK’s finest chefs, including José Pizzaro, Pip Lacey and Dan Doherty.

If you prefer to get hands-on with your food, Taste of London also offers interactive cooking experiences and Champagne, wine and craft beer masterclasses, as well as samples and products from some of the UK’s finest gourmet producers.

Here’s our run-down of the big restaurant names taking part:

Jamavar

This Leela Group site has proved fiercely popular since opening and serves high-end Indian fare, including samosas containing beautifully spiced minced venison in never-bettered pastry, and lamb chops with sweet and smoky wild tiger prawns.

Farang

This Thai venture from chef Sebby Holmes has quite the following thanks to his two successful Street Feast stalls. On the menu, you’ll find a broodingly meaty curry of coconut with butter-like beef cheeks, and an energetic, spicy ‘jungle’ curry featuring Cornish fish, supremely fishy sauce and bitter baby aubergines.

Bubbledogs

Launched at the height of ‘gourmet fast food’ mania, Bubbledogs’ still-snaking queues prove that grower Champagne and high-class hotdogs are a combination built to last. There are 17 versions available, including the Sloppy Joe (beef chilli, Cheddar cheese and onions) and the José (fresh tomato, avocado, jalapeños and sour cream).

Kricket

Cooked up by Rik Campbell and Will Bowlby, casual Kricket serves up a succinct small-plates menu which changes daily. To eat, you’ll find fiery-as-it-gets Keralan-fried chicken, barbecue-blackened sweet potatoes and spice-infused cocktails.

Bao

The hysteria around these Taiwanese steamed buns hasn’t died down, with queues often out the door. Not so surprising though, given that both sites are pretty intimate. From the bun selection, you can pick pork belly or fried chicken varieties, alongside rice-based milkshakes.
