This April, TV wine personality Olly Smith will introduce wine lovers to the full range of wine styles Portugal has to offer – from brilliantly fruity reds made from native vines, to fresh, zesty
whites – as part of his 50 Great Portuguese Wines selection.
Olly has spent the first half of the year tasting some of Portugal’s finest wines and whittling down his favourites to a selection of 50, all of which showcase the remarkable assets of Portuguese
wines, while remaining within an accessible price bracket of £7-£30. On Thursday 18 April, at central-London restaurant Paramount, the wine expert will unveil his list of 50 Great Portuguese Wines,
and invite guests to taste them.
At the event, Olly will introduce his 50-strong selection, before inviting people to sample any of the styles that take their fancy, as well as answering their questions. During the evening, guests
will tuck into Portuguese canapés courtesy of Paramount, plus take in the venue’s breathtaking views of the capital.
The 50 Great Portuguese Wines tasting event will take place from 7-9pm. Tickets cost £10 and include entry, all wine samples and canapés. Click here to book your ticket to sample Portugal’s vinous highlights.
