For one night only, Frankie van Loo, executive head chef of Jason Atherton’s Social Wine & Tapas, will host a collaborative dinner with Tomer Amedi, head chef at The Palomar. The pair have curated a menu influenced by the rich cultures of the Iberian peninsula, combined with the Middle-Eastern influences that have shaped The Palomar’s success.
The six-course menu will begin with piquillo pepper and saffron croquetas, and a fusion dish of chickpeas with octopus and amba (a tangy mango relish). Mains include Cumbrian Herdwick lamb rack with spiced aubergine, and polenta with wild mushrooms, truffle and eggyolk. Desserts will see a classic crema catalana served with Frankie’s signature crystallised pistachio, followed by Stilton cheesecake with apricot, chilli and pumpkin seeds. The wine list is inspired by the Middle East and paired to complement each dish. Dynamic duos of this kind don’t come along often, so don’t miss out.
