This June, London wine merchant Goedhuis & Co is hosting its annual rosé wine tasting, to be held at the Saatchi Gallery in aid of the Starlight Children’s Foundation, which grants
once-in-a-lifetime wishes for seriously and terminally ill children and provides entertainment in hospitals and hospices.
This year, the hosts will welcome eight outstanding French and English rosé producers, including Château Saint Baillon, Domaines Ott and Château d’Esclans – top draws include Domaine Bernard
Reverdy’s 2010 Sancerre (which has been feted by leading French wine guides). Plus, one floor of the gallery will be devoted to rosé Champagnes and sparkling wines, with pours from powerhouses such
as Taittinger, Laurent Perrier and Billecart Salmon. Guests will be able to buy the wines they taste on the night.
During the evening, drinkers can indulge in summer nibbles, including strawberries and cream, and cute cupcakes. Guests will also have access to the Saatchi Gallery’s Out of Focus exhibition, which
showcases current trends in photography through a collection of work from different artists, as well as an exhibition of contemporary Chinese ink art curated by Michael Goedhuis (brother of
Goedhuis chairman Johnny). The organisers will also hold a silent auction with luxury lots.
Money raised from the ticket sales and auction, plus 10% of the profits on all wine purchased on the night will be donated to the Starlight Children’s Foundation.
The rosé tasting takes place on Tuesday 26 June from 6.30-9pm. Tickets cost £40. Find out more at goedhuis.com and
