The Europa Hotel in Belfast is celebrating its 40th anniversary by going back to the 1970s and the year the hotel and restaurant first opened. For February only, the hotel’s signature restaurant,
The Causerie, has created a commemorative menu honouring delicacies that were all the rage back in 1971.
Throwback dishes include prawn cocktail, gammon & pineapple and duck à l’orange, with sherry trifle and peach Melba for dessert. Drinks are also going retro for the occasion: all meals will be
served with a glass of 70s’ staple Mateus Rosé, while Sidecars and Harvey Wallbangers will grace the cocktail list.
The Causerie’s 70s’ menu costs £40 per couple for two courses, plus a glass of Mateus Rosé, and coffee.
