Royal Wedding Tour by Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park


Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park is offering an exclusive five-day package to commemorate the Royal Wedding, which will give participants special access to several key royal properties and promises face-to-face meetings with first-hand family members and associates of the Royal Family.

The itinerary for the Royal Wedding Tour is as follows:

Tuesday 26 April
pm Check in to the hotel. Pre-dinner drinks and a welcome dinner; overnight stay in deluxe room.

Wednesday 27 April
am A tour of Chartwell, in Kent, Sir Winston Churchill’s family home since 1924. Greeting from a member of the Churchill family and lunch at the nearby private family home.
pm Depart for Spencer House, home of the Spencer family. Drinks on the terrace upon arrival, followed by a private tour of the property. Dinner in The Great Room.

Thursday 28 April
am Visit to The British Museum, followed by lunch at The Wallace Collection. Visit with director Dame Ros Saville.
pm Dinner at the home of a member of the Royal Family, at their private London townhouse.

Friday 29 April
am Visit the Institute of Contemporary Art. Guests will have exclusive use of the venue and roof terrace overlooking The Mall, with unrestricted views of the Royal Wedding parade. Toast the happy couple with a glass of Champagne, then sit down to a three-course lunch served in the gallery.
pm Depart for Kensington Palace; drinks in the sunken garden upon arrival, followed by a tour of the property and dinner in the King’s Gallery.

Saturday 30 April
am Visit to Westminster Abbey, with greeting from the Dean, the Very Reverend Dr John Hall.
pm Free time. Guests can visit London’s sights or relax in the hotel’s spa. Choose dinner at Bar Boulud or Dinner by Heston Blumenthal.

Sunday 01 May
am Lunch at Althorp, in Northamptonshire, ancestral home of Diana Princess of Wales’ family since 1508. Visit the grounds before lunching with a member of the Spencer family.
pm Farewell dinner at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park. Departure on Monday morning.

The hotel has long been a destination for royal visits, society balls and official engagements and boasts a private royal entrance from Hyde Park.
