Now that you've completed the obligatory January detox, it's time to jump back down from the wagon and repent. And what better way to welcome booze back into your life than with Fitzrovia bar Rev JW Simpson's spirited masterclasses?
The spring sessions will see experts preaching the good word about premium spirits and boutique brands, from super-strength Irish poitin (which was illegal until 1997) to luscious Caribbean rums; there will also be niche-interest classes focusing on pre-1860 Cognacs (which differ tremendously in flavour to modern-day Cognacs) and Xtabentún, a Mexican, anise-tinged liqueur. Whichever masterclass you plump for, you can guarantee plenty of tasting time, plus the opportunity to shake your own cocktails using the spirits of the evening.
Spirited Sermons take place every Tuesday evening from 6pm throughout 2015. Masterclasses cost £25, including three cocktails and the booking fee. To see the full line-up and reserve your place, click here.
