Moorgate’s carnivore paradise The Jugged Hare will be ruffling quite a few feathers in honour of Pheasant Week 2014. From 17-23 November, you can wrap your lips around seasonal menu specials of roast breast of Yorkshire hen pheasant, or pheasant ballotine stuffed with wild boar (pictured), accompanied by the likes of parsnip purée, potato fondant and creamed cabbage. If you’re really game for a game game, whisper ‘pheasant week’ when ordering two drinks at the bar to receive free popcorn pheasant legs, confit pheasant croquettes or pheasant fingers with game jus. The Jugged Hare is also offering the chance to win a free meal for two to those who engage with the #PheasantWeek hashtag.
