Inspired by his Loft Project – a pop-up collaboration involving guest chefs – Viajante’s Nuno Mendes is planning to offer diners the chance to
enjoy a meal cooked by six internationally renowned peers as part of his latest venture, CRAFT.
Over the course of one week, Mendes will invite a guest chef to cook with him in the Viajante kitchen, delivering an eight-course tasting menu of flavourful, authentic dishes from each chef’s
The gastronomic event will kick off on Thursday 25 April with José Avillez, from Lisbon’s two-Michelin-starred Restaurante Belcanto. He will be
followed by Eneko Atxa, head chef of Azurmendi, who will give diners a taste of Spain’s Basque country.
On Saturday evening, Kobe Desramaults (founder of European foodie spot, In De Wulf) will share his Belgian cooking talents with the assembled company, while
Sunday will see the arrival of Gastón Acurio from Lima’s Astrid & Gastón (a star of Peruvian haute cuisine).
On Tuesday 30 April, Danish chef Rasmus Kofoed will recreate classic dishes from his Copenhagen restaurant, Geranium. CRAFT will conclude on Wednesday 1 May with a
chance to experience a Mediterranean dinner prepared by André Chiang of Restaurant André in Singapore.
