A continuation of their ever-popular guest chef nights, Squaremeal exclusively announced that José Pizarro will welcome Peter Gordon, executive chef and co-founder of The Providores and Tapa Room, to his namesake Bermondsey restaurant this April. The pair will combine their own signature dishes for a one-off night of Spanish cooking, which tapas aficionados will not want to miss.
Sharing plates are the order of the day: start with a hefty helping of jamón ibérico before moving on to grilled octopus with green mango, coconut and tamarind caramel, followed by a main of tamari garlic-marinated presa (pork shoulder) on warm chard with courgette and beetroot salad, olives and pesto. Finish up by gorging on chocolate buñuelos and lavender sugar. Guests will also get the chance to purchase signed copies of Gordon’s new book, Savour, and Pizarro’s latest, Basque.
