High-end steak chain Gaucho never does anything by halves, so when they organise a Champagne-fuelled event, they don’t just organise one, they organise a whole week’s worth. This September, Gaucho will celebrate the power of bubbly at seven consecutive evenings taking place at branches around the UK, which will mix tasting masterclasses, sommelier discussions and cocktails with full-on Champagne dinners.
The first four evenings (7-10 September) will be dedicated to Champagne-tasting. Hosted by representatives from some of the top Champagne houses, including Mumm, Ruinart, Veuve Clicquot and Moët & Chandon, these events will equip guests with enough knowledge to comfortably discuss all aspects of fizz with like-minded enthusiasts, without the need for bluffing. Compare different styles of Champagne, discover how to best showcase them in cocktails, and learn from the experts as you sip Champagne and feast on Argentinian appetisers.
The rest of the week will see Champagne paired with Gaucho’s signature wet-aged steaks (11-12 September) and consumed in true style at a screening of Breakfast at Tiffany’s at Gaucho Charlotte Street (13 September).
The tastings cost £25; the Champagne dinners cost £75, and the screening costs £45. For more information about locations and the Champagnes to be showcased at each event, or to book, visit Gaucho’s website.
