Italian dishes from Michelin-starred chefs at Prêt à Diner

International dining experience Prêt à Diner is back in the capital from 9 May-30 June with a series of dinners called ‘Italians Do It Better’.

Top London chefs including Giorgio Locatelli will join forces with their Michelin-starred Italian counterparts – including Accursio Craparo (from La Gazza Ladra), Cristian and Manuel Costardi (of Hotel Cinzia), Norbert Niederkofler (of the Rosa Alpina hotel) and Viviana Varese (from Alice restaurant) – to create menus that will allow guests to compare modern and traditional Italian cuisines.

The evening will start with cutting-edge cocktails from the bar area, manned by the folks from Islington drinking den 69 Colebrooke Row. These will be followed by a parade of dishes, including fresh and innovative takes on Italian food, as well as traditional classics.

The event will take place at Grade II-listed Mayfair building 50 St James’s Street; the space will also boast a pop-up art gallery, a bar, and a boutique. The bar is open daily from 6pm; dinner starts at 7pm.
