HIX Oyster and Chop House will highlight British seasonal ingredients at its Festive Celebration on Saturday 16 December. Guests will get to spend time with Mark Hix and meet the restaurant’s producers, who provide the carefully-sourced ingredients. On the day, you’ll be able to partake in talks and tastings from chef Valentine Warner, co-creator of Hepple Gin, and sip on a pure milk vodka cocktail made with Black Cow’s Archie, as well as tasting your way through a selection of Somerset Cider brandies from Julian Temperley.
Food stands around the room will be serving an array of seasonal treats including natural and cooked oysters, truffled capon from the trolley, Peter Hannan’s sugar pit beef ribs, British cheeses with Somerset membrillo, and mincemeat meringues.
The HIX Festive Celebration takes place on Saturday 16 December, from 11am-5pm. The event is free to attend, with food and drink tokens available to purchase on the day.
