A typical German breakfast involves rye bread, a boiled egg and some ham. Brunch is another matter altogether: to get a taste of it here in London, head to Berlin brünch, a pop up hosted by London Fields restaurant and lounge bar, Wringer + Mangle.
Help yourselves to locally sourced meats and cheeses, homemade smoked mackerel pâté, amaranth and chia granola with vanilla quark, and E5 Bakehouse bread smothered with Nutella or homemade almond butter, plus fresh Berliner waffles with berries, as well as Barn coffee. To get you in the party spirit for the afternoon, there are also house cocktails plus a live set from DJ Moody Pat – staying on for the brunch after-party is heartily encouraged.
The Berlin brünch takes place on 14 May from 12-3.30pm. Limitless food costs £25; drinks are extra. To book, visit the Berlin brünch ticketing page.
