Stephen Terry - chef-patron of The Hardwick, in Abergavenny - is one of Wales's most successful and well-known chefs. This summer, fellow chef Oliver Peyton and his team are bringing Terry to London for a summer supper club that will focus on Welsh cuisine.
The evening will comprise a five-course tasting menu focusing on celebrated ingredients local to Wales such as its fabulous cheese and peerless lamb, as well as including some of The Hardwick's signature dishes such as braised local faggots. Other dishes will include smoked and beetroot-cured Welsh sea trout with fried laverbread oatcakes, wood sorrel and crème fraîche, and summer pudding with sourdough and cheesecake sauce.
This event will take place at Inn the Park in St James's Park, meaning that diners will be able to enjoy a tranquil, alfresco meal in central London - a treat in itself.
Stephen Terry's Summer Supper Club takes place next Wednesday, from 7pm. Tickets to this one-off experience cost £50. To book, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 020 7747 5925.
