There’s plenty on offer for foodies and wine buffs alike at Conran’s Almeida Restaurant & Bar in Islington. On 21 January chefs André Garrett (of Orrery) and Ian Wood (Almeida) will prepare
their signature dishes, while sommelier Frederic Grappe will be joined by winemaker Patrick Bize to talk guests through the wines. Guests can expect to tuck into treats like terrine of sweetbread,
foie gras and chicken and Anjou pigeon with ravioli of confit leg, braised cabbage and Amedei Tuscan black jus washed down with wines including a 2000 Savigny les Beaune blanc from Burgundy and a
2001 Guildalberto from Tuscany. Spaces are limited, so book early on the above number (ask for Flavie) to avoid disappointment.
