The monthly wine tastings at Tom Aikens can now be combined with an afternoon cookery demonstration by Tom Aikens
himself, costing £165 per person for both sessions. Once a month on a Saturday morning, head sommelier Gearoid Devaney will host a wine tasting event from 11am-1pm, followed by a food demo in the
afternoon with Tom. Wine sessions will focus on the different grape varieties and the kinds of foods that go with them, while the food sessions will focus on different cooking skills. Events and
themes until the end of 2008 are planned as follows:
21 June - South America wines; Stocks and Sauces
19 July – Champagne; Fish
20 September – Spanish wines; Pasta
18 October – Italian wines; Braising
15 November – Burgundy; Canapés
13 December - Winter Warmers; Christmas Lunch
