Food and music ‘feastival’ for charity

The Big Feastival is a three-day festival of food and live music taking place on Clapham Common from 1-3 July in aid of The Prince’s Trust and The Jamie Oliver Foundation, charities that help change the lives of disadvantaged young people.

Billed as an urban village fete with music, the festival will welcome bands including Soul II Soul, New Young Pony Club, The Charlatans, Mystery Jets, and Athlete, as well as DJs and other live acts.

Top chefs including Jamie Oliver (Fifteen), Giorgio Locatelli (Locanda Locatelli), Thomasina Miers (Wahaca) and Peter Gordon (Kopapa) will provide the food, and pop-up versions of restaurants such as Benares, Café Spice Namasté, Canteen, and Barbecoa will also be feeding the masses.

Food entrepreneurs will showcase their produce and TV cooks such as Sophie Grigson and Rachel Allen will lead demonstrations and masterclasses.

Tickets cost £35 per day for adults, and £25 per day for 12-17 year-olds (children under 12 go free). Feastival ‘scoffs’ can be bought in advance for £5 each. Book online or call 0844 888 9991.

Opening times are as follows:

Friday 1 July: 2-10.30pm
Saturday 2 July: 12N-10.30pm
