On Tuesday 2 October, City restaurant Bleeding Heart is hosting a wine dinner to showcase top Châteauneuf-du-Pape producer Château du Beaucastel.
Marc Perrin, from the family who owns Beaucastel, will guide diners through seven of the wines, including the stunning 1988 vintage.
Diners will enjoy a five-course menu created by Bleeding Heart executive chef Julian Marshall, all eaten in Ely Place’s medieval Crypt, located just next to the restaurant. Dishes will include
roast partridge with ballotine of foie gras, and fig tart with lavender-honey ice cream.
The wine dinner costs £89.50, including matching wines, coffee, petits fours and service. The evening starts at 7pm, with dinner starting at 7.30pm.
