As part of London Restaurant Week, The Soho Hotel, Covent Garden Hotel and Charlotte Street Hotel are hosting food-themed films introduced by celebrity cooks and chefs.
Celebrity chefs including Bill Granger will introduce a foodie film that inspired them, which will then be shown in the hotels’ screening room. Following the film, guests will be able to take part
in a Q&A; they will then be treated to a three-course dinner in the hotel.
The programme of foodie films is as follows:
Wednesday 5 October: Bill Granger introduces Eat Drink Man Woman – a romantic comedy set in Taiwan about a widowed master chef and his three daughters – at The Soho Hotel, followed by
dinner at Refuel.
Thursday 6 October: Laura Santtini introduces Waitress – about a woman who cooks through her life's troubles – at the Covent Garden Hotel, followed by dinner at Brasserie Max.
Thursday 13 October: Lucas Hollweg introduces Chocolat – a drama about a single mother and her daughter who move to rural France to open a chocolate shop – at the Charlotte Street
Hotel, followed by dinner at Oscar.
Each of the dinner menus are exclusive to the hotels, but could include dishes such as: shaved fennel, endive, pink-grapefruit and apple salad; pot-roast Loire Valley guinea fowl with blackberries,
Puy lentils and kale; or rich chocolate torte with pistachio praline.
Tickets cost £55 per person. The events start at 6.30pm.
