To coincide with the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Peter Jones of Chelsea will be offering a decadent floral afternoon tea in late May. The Flower Show-inspired menu revives a local teatime classic, the
Chelsea Bun, with specially selected floral ingredients such as sugared rose petals and mountain heather honey.
The honey bun was first created in the eighteenth century by a baker in Pimlico road, and became famous all over the world. Peter Jones hope to bring back the afternoon treat along with a few other
floral fancies to celebrate the RHS show, which runs 19th-23rd May, and is the highlight of the area’s Spring events. The ‘English Country Garden’ theme of this teatime treat would complement a
visit to the Flower Show perfectly.
The tea will be available in the Brasserie and top floor Restaurant at Peter Jones from 19th – 31st May.
Menu choices include:
Peter Jones’ Chelsea Honey-Bun
Rhubarb and elderflower vanilla yoghurt
Heather honey mousse
Chocolate and lavender mille feuille
