To help Valentine’s Day diners create the perfect romantic atmosphere, Covent Garden’s Clos Maggiore has introduced a maitre d’amour to its restaurant staff. Customers who book for Valentine’s Day
can task Daniel Kapp, the maitre d’amour, with arranging special requests, from sourcing a particular Champagne, to ensuring their partner’s favourite meal is on the menu, or even hiring a string
quartet. To really ramp up the romance, the restaurant can arrange tickets to the nearby Royal Opera House or a suite at a boutique hotel, with chauffeur-driven transport to and from the
restaurant. And for those wishing to pop the question, a special chocolate box can be arranged to hide the ring from the lucky recipient. The maitre d’amour’s time comes at no extra cost, although
specially sourced items might incur a charge. To arrange a special request, ask to speak to the maitre d’amour upon booking.
