Not only do the folks at Champagne Laurent-Perrier have the Midas touch when it comes to producing spectacular Champagnes, they're also a green-fingered lot. The Champagne house's garden entry at last year's Chelsea Flower Show won the coveted 'Best in Show' prize. To toast its success, Laurent-Perrier is hosting a three-course Champagne dinner at Kensington restaurant L'Etranger - with the chance to win a pair of tickets to this year's show.
The evening will start with a canapé reception and a welcome glass of Laurent-Perrier Brut. Guests can then enjoy a three-course meal, with dishes developed to truly set off the selection of Champagnes. A starter of five tomato salad with truffle-infused burrata will be paired with Laurent-Perrier Grand Siècle; a main course of grilled Irish veal chop with stuffed courgette flowers and shiitake mushrooms will be matched with Laurent-Perrier Rosé; while the flavours in a dessert of strawberry-and-black-pepper panna cotta will be beautifully expressed by a glass of Laurent-Perrier Ultra Brut.
After the meal, the hosts will reveal the winner of the prize draw, who will be presented with two tickets to the Chelsea Flower Show, for Wednesday 20 May. A second winner will take home a bottle of Laurent-Perrier Grand Siècle.
