The Square, chef and restaurateur Phil Howard’s flagship Mayfair restaurant, has gone through several incarnations in the 25 years that it has been serving the capital – and as part of its journey to the two Michelin stars it currently holds, the kitchen has produced its fair share of hits.
To celebrate a quarter of a century in business, the team has unveiled an eight-course tasting menu of the all-time great dishes from the very first to the current menus, each with an optional wine pairing. So you can step back in time and taste Howard’s crab lasagne with a cappuccino of shellfish and Champagne foam, the signature dish from 1997, or 1995’s truffled Brie de Meaux, as well as modern classics such as aged rib and fillet of Dexter beef with field mushroom purée, crisp potato and thyme.
The dinner will take place on 25 February. Tickets cost £130 (or £195 with matching wines). To book a place, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 020 3542 3570.
