To celebrate British Food Fortnight, which takes place from 19 September to 4 October, Young’s pubs are running dedicated British menus and complimentary cookery masterclassess.
A special British Food Fortnight menu will include dishes such as pan seared Cornish scallops with black pudding, wild mushrooms and Addlestones cider sauce; Exmoor beef, Bombardier and oyster pie;
slow cooked Somerset pork belly with braised red cabbage; lemon posset with gingerbread biscuits; and treacle tart with wicked Glenmorangie cream. All are priced at around £11.75 for two courses
and £16.95 for three, although prices might vary slightly between pubs.
As well as the special menu, two free game masterclasses, hosted by cookery writer and author Maxine Clark, will take place at The Ship in Wandsworth and The White Hart in Littleon-on-Severn,
Bristol, on 29 September and 1 October respectively. Guests can enjoy an introduction to game meats, learn how to decipher between cuts, how to prepare them and how create great game dishes at
