In the run-up to Christmas, Mark Deamer and head chef Diego Sales of The Greyhound at Battersea have
decided to match two starters and main courses with a specific style of Champagne from the Besserat de Bellefon Champagne Cuvee des Moines range.
These distinctive food Champagnes, rarely seen outside the restaurant sector, are highly regarded. A recent tasting of 45 champagnes by a panel of leading sommeliers saw the Blanc de Blanc score
the top mark. ‘Rich, elegant and clean flavours’ said one judge. Brioche notes, citrusy elements and a good finish were further virtues.
Choose any starter and main course from the four dishes on the special Champagne Menu, and a glass of each of the appropriate styles of Besserat de Bellefon Cuvee des Moines will be served with
each course. £39 per head.
