Belmond British Pullman’s celebrity chef dinners transport diners to another era

Tom Kerridge The Belmond British Pulllman event

When TfL does its worst, we Londoners can’t help but feel nostalgic about the golden age of rail travel and all it entailed – including eminently civilised slap-up meals on the go. This year, Belmond British Pullman, the historic 1920s’ steam train, returns to pep up the summer calendar with another luxurious line-up of celebrity chef dinners served aboard its glamorous vintage carriages.

Kicking off on 6 May and running until 29 September, the line-up sees renowned chefs and TV favourites including Richard Corrigan (11 June), Tom Kerridge (13 August) and James Martin (29 September) cooking up a signature menu, each course of which will be paired with a spectacular wine.

Passengers will be welcomed with a Champagne reception at Belmond British Pullman’s private lounge in London Victoria Station. At 6pm, they will board the train for a meal served by liveried waiters in art-deco surrounds. The train will return guests to Victoria station at 11pm.

Each dinner costs £510 per person and are limited to 100 passengers. To book your place, call 0845 077 2222 or visit the Belmond website.
