The chances are you drink quite a bit of Chilean wine these days – and quite right, too. The wines from this fascinating country – which is celebrating its bicentenary this year – deliver terrific
bang for your buck across a broad spectrum of grape varieties and styles, from cool-climate Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling and Pinot Noir to spicy Syrah and Christmas-friendly Bordeaux blends. Chile has
always been known for its silky fruit and soft tannins, but its wines now have added elegance and complexity, too.
As a great start to the weekend on Friday 26 November, come and join Wines of Chile UK and at least 18 of the UK’s top high-street, online and independent wine retailers (including Majestic,
Waitrose, and The Wine Society) to taste the best of what Chile has to offer. With around 170 wines on show, you’ll find diversity as well as quality, not to mention plenty of experts to guide you.
Plus, there’ll be Latin music, Chilean canapés, and a chance to win a case of wine. In addition, there will be three different curries prepared by Mayfair restaurant Benares to sample, which will be paired with a selection of Carmeneres.
The event takes place in the banqueting hall at Glaziers Hall in London Bridge from 6-9pm. Tickets cost just £15 (or £25 for two), payable in advance, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 07747 615976.
