Private dining and exclusive-hire evening events
As evening falls, the distillery closes to members of the public, and our beautiful whisky spaces become available for private venue hire. Our Whisky Lounge, with its impressive tasting bar, open fire, and access to our immersive heritage exhibition, is the ideal hub for your evening event, seating up to 40 for a private dinner. For private dining, we work with the best local suppliers such as Errichel, Ballintaggart and Season Catering.
This can be complemented by a private distillery tour, whisky tasting or cocktail session in our atmospheric warehouse space a short walk from the main building.

Private whisky tastings
We’re pleased to offer privately hosted whisky tastings at our distillery and off-site if required.
We stock the full range from John Dewar & Sons Fine Scotch Whisky Emporium, as well as some distillery exclusive single cask Aberfeldy malt whiskies. This means we offer a superb range of tasting options, creating bespoke themed tastings to suit every budget and level of interest. All whiskies sampled at the tasting will also be available to purchase from our distillery shop.

Food options for your event
The food at Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery is as great as the whisky. As an event venue in Perthshire, we try to ensure as much of our food as possible is locally sourced, and our suppliers reflect this philosophy. We offer superb flexibility for your event, with three distinctly different dining options.
Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery Cafe
If you’re after a simple but delicious range of soups, salads, sandwiches and cakes, freshly prepared and using locally-sourced ingredients, let our in-house team cater for you. We have been awarded VisitScotland’s ‘Taste Our Best’ accreditation for promoting local produce, and we receive consistently excellent feedback on our food from Tripadvisor.
This is an excellent option for your day event, or if a simple buffet is required. If you’re planning a private dinner, you will want to use one of our two excellent contract caterers.
Errichel
Errichel’s style of food offers the best of Scottish produce with flavours and influences from around the world. Meats are hand-reared and free-range eggs laid on Errichel farm, a stone’s throw from Aberfeldy.
Season Catering
Based in nearby Dunkeld, Season Catering execute dishes to the highest standard, using only the finest local and seasonal produce. The team produce creative and cutting-edge dishes, with ‘street food’ a speciality.
