Our wedding was absolutely amazing, the Caves is the perfect venue for couples looking for something a bit different. Our wedding coordinator Amy was a delight to deal with. Professional, highly responsive, flexible to our needs and she helped us with everything to run smoothly up to and on the day. We were able to trust her with all our requests and she carried these out with passion and care. The venue is stunning, the food is absolutely beautiful and the staff are a delight to deal with. They were so attentive to our guests and weeks on we are still receiving so many compliments about them and our day. just really wanted to say a huge thank you for everything you did for us in the run up and on the day of our wedding. You kept us really calm, especially on the day before when the storm was brewing and things felt like they were going wrong. You really reassured us and we felt everything was always in safe hands. The venue looked so beautiful on the day and I know you played a huge part in that. The ceremony was so perfect with all the jars and flowers everywhere. I'm also so grateful in how much you did in setting the tables up for the meal. You really went above and beyond and it looked exactly how I'd imagined. Hi Lisa! Its been a month ago since we tied the knot…What a day! It couldn’t have (and wouldn’t have) been as perfect as it was if we didn’t do it at The Caves and have all your assistance on the day, and on the build up to it. It’s a bit boring now actually! Been planning this wedding for years, now I don’t know who to send an email to every 10 minutes a thought pops into my head!? We will send you a few of the wedding photos once they get sent to us (should be very soon) and you can stuck some on your instagram if you want. We both really appreciate the complete hassle free job you made it for us. And everyone on the day loved it - people are still talking about it. Party of the summer? I think so. Thank you again! I was at a Burn’s supper last night at the caves. I wanted to just send a quick note to say thank you very much to the staff. Every person whom I met was excellent. The doorman was welcoming and helped me with where to go and my coat etc, the waiter who twigged really quickly I was (v sadly) not drinking and handed me a flute which meant I looked as though I had something interesting, the waiting staff at the tables were super, really easy to catch their eye to ask for a drink. They were all very happy and having attended lots of these things over the years, the usual hassled, tired and disinterested faces were replaced with bright, open smiles. I was highly impressed and would without hesitation be recommending the venue in future.

We just want to say a massive thank you all so very much for an absolutely fabulous day, you all made it go effortlessly; us and our guests had such a lovely time and were all taken with the beautiful venue and excellent service provided

We held our Geological Society Ball here this March and were thrilled with how the event turned out. To begin with, the venue was amazing and also perfect for the 125 (+30 after dinner) guests that we had. Communication from the office was always prompt and super helpful. They were extremely professional and made planning our event much easier for us which was a big bonus. On the night, the tables and everything looked incredible, the service was efficient and we felt like we were treated very well. The two supervisors in charge, Tommy and Jacqueline, were incredible throughout and ensured the smooth running of our night. A massive thank you to all of the staff here, would absolutely recommend this venue!

Caroline, Rachel is on her honeymoon this week so while still fresh in the memory I would like to say how much we were impressed with the caves as a venue for the wedding. The venue itself was decked out precisely in the way that Rachel wanted, the tables design and decoration were fantastic, the welcome greeting to all guests was very professional, the food and timely service were easily the best I have seen at any wedding with the synchronised service to all the tables massively impressive.All through the day the staff performed their duties without fuss and nothing was an issue. The final topping on the cake was the evening hog roast which provided all with a welcome and enjoyable food break. You will probably have guessed by now that we were overwhelmed with the service provided and would ask if you could feed this back to all the staff involved for a magnificent effort. We personally received feedback from many of the guests who expressed their delight at the reception many who said that it had been the best wedding they had ever been to. Thank you again on behalf of the Clough and Summers family and if you would like me to make a posting on Trip adviser I would be delighted.

'We had our wedding reception at The Caves in February and from start to the 3am finish it was brilliant! The meetings and assistance with planing were fantastic and really reassuring, every time I had a new question someone got back to me right away and the staff are so professional and organised that it really does take the stress away. We were a little concerned about the food because we didn't do the trial; it was delicious, I know I'm biased but it's the best food I've had at a wedding and loads of the guests commented on it too. The venue looked incredible, all of our guests are from away as we're English and haven't lived in Edinburgh for that long so they'd never been before and they were blown away, it looks truly spectacular on the day. The staff are relaxed, friendly and professional - nothing is too much trouble - the food is delicious and the venue is stunning. We loved it! Thanks Caves '

I am writing on behalf of the SELMAS Committee to thank you for the great service we had at our Conference at the Caves last week. Our delegates were blown away by the venue – it was definitely one of the stars of the event and that’s a first for us! It looked amazing, the food was great and the service was fist class. We were given everything we asked for and much was anticipated for us in advance of even asking. We would most certainly use the Caves again and would thoroughly recommend it to others.

Hello everyone, Sorry it has taken us a while to get around to messaging you, we had an extra few days in Edinburgh and then it took us a while to come down from cloud 9, plus we have a Halloween themed wedding to attend this Saturday too! We both wanted to express our thanks for such a wonderful day and night. Everybody was simply blown away with the venue, the friendliness of the staff and of course the food, we honestly did not hear a bad word about anything, and both of us had the best day ever, so thank you so much! I'm afraid we can't remember all of the individual names but a few staff in particular really stood out, so thanks very much again. We are now looking forward to planning and saving for our honeymoon, and our 1 year anniversary is already planned in Edinburgh again and we cannot wait.

I would like to thank all the staff at the Caves for a wonderful day on Sunday, my daughter's wedding. Everything worked like clockwork, the venue was very romantic and atmospheric, the food was delicious and presented perfectly and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The only negative thing about the day was that it had to end! Thank you all so much for giving, not only the bride and groom a wonderful day, but also for giving all the guests a day to remember.

Now that the dust has settled can I just say WOW!!!! I can't tell you how amazing our day / night was!!!!!! We can not thank you & the rest of The Caves staff for helping us realise our dreams last Friday, an absolutely amazing job!!!! In particular Jenna we can not thank you enough, you personally did an outstanding job &, again we'd like that to be recognised so if there is anyone in particular we can reference that to then let us know. I wanted to write and thank all of the staff at The Caves for making our wedding on the 11th so wonderful. Particularly to the Wedding Team and Manager, Chris, and the staff working that day who were excellent. Our guests all commented on how impressed they were with the venue, the catering and the service. We also had many guests saying that it was the best wedding that they'd ever been to. We would agree but then we are rather biased. We also wanted to say that as a gay couple, finding a venue that would treat us with courtesy and sensitivity was really important and, even though it's increasingly rare these days, you do still hear of horror stories for some gay couples trying to book venues. We would happily recommend you to anyone! In fact, we originally approached you because we had used a quote from a female couple a few years ago who had their civil partnership at The Caves. We knew therefore that we would be welcome. Anyway, thank you again for giving us the best day of our lives. We will never forget it.

Daryl and I had the most amazing time on Friday and there is absolutely nothing we would of changed about it. Everyone said what a perfect venue it was and how it truly reflected us. I loved in particular that nothing much, if at all, needs done to decorate the venue as it screams character and provides a romantic setting without even trying. I can't thank you, Caroline, enough for all of the support over the last year and you truly made the process a lot easier for me. I don't even want to count the amount of emails I have sent you, especially the ones the night before the wedding. I loved how I could ask you any question and you always gave me a practical answer. You were the best wedding planner I could have asked for! Ewen, your service and attentiveness was incredible on Friday, all of the family have commented on how great you were and I'm sorry for being so late... You covered this up so smoothly as we began to run late. Everything ran perfectly, even with the builders and the cement thing, but it only added a unique anecdote for us in the future. You were definitely more worried than we were. I cried, when I came to collect our things on Tuesday, not sad tears but tears because I was reminded of what an incredible day we had at The Caves. I hope we will be back in the future. To be honest, I'm already planning an anniversary party here, in my head. Take care everyone and I hope business continues to boom. Sam and I would like to say a great big THANK YOU to you and your whole team! Our big day went wonderfully, we could not have asked for anything more! The staff on the night were fab and so, so helpful! Throughout the whole wedding process you have been great and so helpful, you helped make it as stress free as possible! We absolutely loved the caves, it was so special and our wedding guests loved it just as much. We had compliments on the venue all night long! Thanks so much for your hard work and patience at making the event such a success. It was an absolutely brilliant night and everyone had a smashing time. I must admit I was incredibly proud to host the event at The Caves and it really didn’t fail to impress the company and all of our guests! It would be great if you could pass on special thanks to Ewen as he was a great event manager on the night. I can’t tell you how impressed I was by him ‘having our back’ as it over and above and ensured that we didn’t go overboard. We had our son and his wife's wedding at your venue on Friday 20th March. Your staff were amazing, the venue is fantastic and the food was cosmic!!!!!! I just wanted to email and thank you all so much for such a great day on 29th. Everything went exactly according to plan, except the Best Man's speech (mortifying!) and ran perfectly on schedule. Your front of house manager was a delight, please pass on my thanks to him for looking after us so well. Everyone absolutely loved the venue and thought it was so different. My daughter and son-in-law married in The Caves on 23rd July 2016. The venue speaks for itself and Ailidh, our wedding co-ordinator was fantastic in helping us about adding the personal touches on the day.What a lovely young and gracious lady! The staff were so helpful and cheerful even though we did run a little late due to the Bride arriving late.The meal was superb and service impeccable.Throughout the evening the staff continued in the happy cheerful manner that had been around from an early start.At the end of the night they helped in so many ways to arrange the return of the personal items we had used in adding personal touches. All guests commented on staff and fantastic food. In conclusion Ailidh in particular and the remaining staff catering ,bar ,and the security person contributed to making a very special day a relaxed and wonderful occasion for the happy couple and all guests.Many ,many thanks.X
