With Nelson’s Column a few steps from the door, The Strand Dining Rooms offers groups a creative British menu. Designed around a traditional Pullman coach, the restaurant’s interiors set a sophisticated tone that will suit smart (but affordable) business lunches. The all-day dining concept means you can rock up whenever suits. Its mezzanine level is the spot for events, seating 40 guests. There are smaller semi-private spaces that suit around half that number in the main restaurant or you can hire the whole thing out for 120 people. Be sure to order your group a cocktail or two: the barmen are nothing if not deft.
The renowned TV chef will bring his knowledge of British ingredients and dishes to the central London restaurant from 3 April. His new menu will feature the likes of roast pigeon, porterhouse steak and rhubarb crumble.
