When it opened close to Selfridges in 2014, Roka Mayfair was the third restaurant in a group that’s now four strong. Natural wood is a major feature of the interiors, and is offset by raw steel, cast concrete and oxidised copper. This creates a chic spot to enjoy the meaty fruits of a robata grill. Surrounded by a seated counter, the open kitchen offers a menu including chargrilled meat, fish and vegetable dishes. Groups searching for more exclusivity can take over the Adzuki private dining room, or hardier parties can grace the outdoor terrace for some alfresco dining. The venue also regularly hosts sake pairing events.
