Plateau is a contemporary French restaurant in Canary Wharf which doubles up as an event venue for hire, able to accommodate all manner of personal and corporate private events, ranging from milestone birthday parties to business lunches.
Found on the fourth floor of Canada Square, Plateau benefits from floor-to-ceiling windows and a partially glazed ceiling which flood the space with plenty of natural daylight, while the accompanying view of London’s skyscrapers is perhaps at its best come nightfall, when the view is lit up with the capital’s twinkling skyline.
Plateau can accommodate between eight and 600 guests for private parties; the venue features two stylishly appointed private dining rooms (including one with its own wine wall), as well as a covered and heated outdoor terrace that is well suited to canape and cocktail receptions all year round. For larger parties, there is also the option to hire Plateau in its entirety.
The first private dining room, the Wine Room, adjoins the restaurant and can accommodate 24 seated guests, or up to 30 standing. The room offers total exclusivity behind full-height, glazed doors, which can be left open if parties want to enjoy the atmosphere of the main restaurant.
The second space, the Art Room, offers a full view of the main restaurant via glass doors and is decorated with a stunning Klimt’s canvas as a backdrop. The room can accommodate up to 16 guests around one long oval table, or up to 18 guests for standing receptions.
Plateau’s menu is underpinned by French techniques and flavours, and the events team can cater for breakfast, lunches, dinners and canape options, all made with the freshest of seasonal produce.
To add an extra special element to your event, the restaurant is also able to host wine-matching lessons, cocktail masterclasses and whisky tastings.
