Pied a Terre boasts pan-European tasting menus with a modern French base devised by Asimakis Chaniotis, a Greek born chef who, at the age of twenty-eight, produces food you must try. Asimakis is a hunter gatherer who forages for his own samphire, makes his own olive oil and sources his own scallop shells for presentation. His innovative style blends modern French cooking with his Greek roots all whilst utilising top quality British produce. Pied a terre is no stranger to awards either and is the longest standing independent restaurant to hold a Michelin star.
Owner David Moore, who himself has over thirty-five years in the Michelin star industry, has made Pied a Terre brilliantly stylish. With multiple rooms that can be privately hired, this is a brilliant place for an event. A sultry ground floor bar and dining room is ideal for an intimate gathering, as is the fresh and relaxed option of the first floor kitchen table, both of which can host up to eight people. A second floor dining room - which can host between four and 16 - is an opulent option for a medium-sized group, perfect for times when you either need to impress people or simply bestow upon them a truly memorable experience. All of the rooms for hire are paired with a butler-style service that ensures the smooth running of any event. And should you find yourself planning something for a larger number of people, you can hire out the Michelin starred venue in its entirety… now, that would be special.
Although there is an a la carte, the tasting menus are the focus here. With ingredients such as Scottish langoustine and girolles, Australian black truffle and Cornish turbot, the menus offer a greatest hits list of the best produce in the world, all of which has been treated with care and precision - perfect for any event that requires good food. And an 800 strong wine list featuring bottles from across the globe gives you plenty of opportunity to suit everyone’s taste.
